Hardware Requirements

Very low hardware requirements allow Blaze View to efficiently run on virtually
all computers running Windows XP or Vista, even low-end computers, laptops, and
micro-laptops
Raster Images

Display and manipulate imagery of all kinds: satellite images, aerial photos, digital
orthophotos, street and topography maps, DEM / DTM, digital vector maps and even
live or recorded video • Rapid display of images of virtually unlimited size (hundreds
of Terabytes) • Real-time accurate re-projection of layers • Directly open and display
over 80 file formats and standards • GeoTIFF, Jpeg2000, ECW, MrSID, DEM, NITF, IMG,
BMP, PNG and more • Display Internet based layers such as Open Street Map and NASA
Blue Marble • Display remote WMS layers • No preprocessing needed • Imagery is opened
directly with no need to import or process the data • Automatic generation of multi-resolution
(pyramid) • Stereo pair display (anaglyph)
Presentation

Intuitive and smooth navigation using mouse, keyboard or joystick • Panning, zooming,
3D rotation, and editing mode • 3D world with perspective camera (scene tilting
and fly-through) • Animated roaming and fly-through • Multiple views and ports,
full-screen support • Overlaying of scale-bar, crosshair and 3D compass • Overview
map • Location geo-search (powered by GeoNames)
• Geodetic accurate distance and azimuth measurement
tools • Application can work through Remote Desktop terminal and Citrix virtualization
Image Processing

Real-time image enhancement and histogram manipulation • Brightness, Contrast and
Gamma adjustment • Levels adjustment • High-quality sharpening • Advanced histogram
curve adjustment • Histogram equalizer tool to precisely control image exposure
• Transparency and masking • Multispectral processing (per-channel adjustments)
• High dynamic range (HDR) up to 16 bits per channel • On-the-fly atlas shading
and hill shading for DEM data
Vector Data

High quality rendering of vector layers • High-performance ESRI shape file support
• Extremely fast file open and level of detail generation • DBF file and metadata
retrieval • Huge shape files (more than 200MB) • Open layers from local files or
from remote shared folder
Registration and re-projection

On-the-fly re-projection • Real-time geodesic re-projection of raster and vector
data • Support for coordinate-system and datum conversion • Seamless display of
layers of different UTM zones and datums together on same scene • Over 4000 supported
reference systems • Support for well-known-text (WKT) projection definitions and
EPSG coding
Printing and Publishing

Export processed, re-projected imagery with vector overlays to printer or files
• Print preview and high-quality printing, up to 1200 DPI • Export to PDF, GeoTIFF,
Jpeg2000, KML/KMZ files (up to 10 GigaPixel outputs)
